Clinical Supervision and Consultation

Quality supervision, grounded in the supervisory relationship, can have a profound impact on one’s professional development.

I take great satisfaction in developing close relationships with trainees. I have supervised students at the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Bradley Hospital in Rhode Island, and Lincoln Hospital in New York. My dissertation focused on the importance of disclosure in supervision and was the subject of an article I published in the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration.

Currently, I serve as a supervisor for the OMH Pandemic Stress Response Practicum in which I supervise graduate students providing emotional support for first-responders and others impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

I offer two services for psychology trainees: one is clinical supervision during graduate or postdoctoral training. Supervision modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and relational psychodynamic therapy.

The second service is consultation on the practical aspects of becoming a clinical psychologist including: applying to graduate programs, obtaining a clinical internship/externship or postdoctoral fellowship, and developing a professional identity and career focus.
